Caol Ila 1990 Whiskynerds – Op 11 februari 2019 is er een 28-jaar oude Caol Ila gebotteld onder het label van de whiskynerds. Het is een stevig prijsje, maar het is dan ook een bijzonder fraai exemplaar geworden. Met een gemiddeld rapportcijfer van 90,5 punten bij de verschillende bloggers. Pronounced ‘cull-eela’, the distillery is situated on the North Eastern shores of Islay with magnificent views across the Sound of Islay to the spectacular Paps of Jura.

Punchy, balanced, with a big coastal side but a sweet fruity core as well. Quality is very high again. Well done but… € 550 is a lot of money, even close to the official Caol Ila 35 Years for instance.
