Bruichladdich First Cask
This Bruichladdich is a 'big' whisky with a fantastic colour of old gold and red copper.
The nose is prickly with sea salt, eucalyptus, aniseed liquorice, damp grass, dark smoke and old copper.
The tongue gives hard dark chocolate, cloying treacle toffee, dark cherries and a trace of burnt peat.
Water gives it much more red fruit, juicy oak, and salt and pepper in the finish. One that stays with you.
