De distilleerderij ligt in het noordoosten van de Speyside, ten zuiden van de plaats Buckie. Hij staat vlak aan de A98, de weg die onder Buckie door loopt. De naam: Inchgower wordt uitgesproken als ‘inskauwer’. Het woord ‘Inchgower’ is de naam van de omgeving waar de distilleerderij staat. ‘Gower’ zou een oud Schots woord voor tuin zijn.

Multi-layered and seriously smooth, this perfectly crafted port cask finish will delight the connoisseur. Aged for 21 years, our whisky's velvety style reflects all our time-honoured skills in marrying casks - techniques for which we've been renowned since our distillery began. First it is carefully matured in American oak casks as our Master Distiller looks on. Over 19 years, the whisky develops an intense spicy sweetness, in the traditional Speyside style. Then, at the perfect moment, that single malt is filled into port casks, for even more complex layers. Finished over two years in these Portuguese wine casks, it gains rich, dark chocolate notes and full-bodied elegance. This unique balance of such contrasting casks, reveals a wonderfully complex dram.

Neus: Een heerlijke overvloed aan wit en geel fruit vult de neus, waarna vers gesneden bloemen (roos en lelie) meer geuren toevoegen. Vanille met “Karam Masala” en kruidkoek maken dit tot een frisse, maar ook exotische whisky. Smaak: De tong wordt het eerst gepakt door de kruiden, waarna een prachtige combinatie van citroen, limoen en sinaasappel overneemt. Afdronk: Witte kruiden en laurier de afdronk inluiden. Die is pittig en houdt de tong geruime tijd vast.

Neus: Iets “stoffige” geuren (warehouse). Een combinatie van bloemen, kersen, bessen, eikenhout, sinaasappellikeur, pure chocolade en een snufje munt Smaak: sinaasappel, het eikenhout , chocolade en vooral de witte kruiden de boventoon voeren. Afdronk: Zeer smaakvol, zonder teveel te worden.

Neus: De neus opent met frisse maritieme invloeden, zoete turf, sinaasappel en sigarenrook. Meer fruit met donkere vanille en rook van een biefstuk in de pan. Smaak: Prachtig in evenwicht. Oranje fruit, zilte zee invloeden en heerlijke turfrook. Gekuild gras met pittige kruiden en gezouten macadamia noten. Afdronk: De afdronk is gevuld met peper en prachtige turfrook.

Loch Gorm 2021 is a vatting of 24 Sherry Butts matured for a minimum of 9 Years. Loch Gorm is the name given to our annual sherry matured limited edition. Named after Islay’s largest freshwater lake neighbouring the distillery, the dark murky colour of the loch’s water is reflected in the rich coppery tones of our sherry matured Loch Gorm release.

The Arran Explorers Series is a collection of limited edition expressions of The Arran Single Malt. Each edition celebrates theoutstanding scenic beauty and diversity of nature on the Isle of Arran. To the west of the island you will pass through the pretty coastal village of Blackwaterfoot. North of the village, the main road leaves the coast for a few miles and bypasses Drumadoon Point. The scenery of the headland is breathtaking with a raised beach and dramatic cliffs formed from basalt columns. Drumadoon Point is home to Shiskine Golf Club, a unique 12-hole golf course regarded by many as one of the finest in the UK. Slightly to the North of the course, its impressive cliffs on the seaward side protect the remains of the largest Iron Age fort on Arran. For the walker, the terrain is diverse. Sandy beach, grassy footpaths and large boulders make it a beautiful piece of coastline to explore. This view across Shiskine Golf Course towards Drumadoon Point is best appreciated with a dram of Arran Single Malt in hand. This particular expression has been maturing for the last 23 years in ex Sherry Puncheons sourced directly from Jerez from a respected small producer who shares our values. The resulting whisky perfectly captures the impressive and dramatic scenery of this part of the island. Take your senses on an adventure around the Isle of Arran.

Dewar’s Caribbean Smooth is a blend of up to 40 single malts and grain whiskies that have been aged for at least 8 years and then double aged, before being finished in ex Caribbean rum casks for up to six months, creating a Caribbean smooth finish.

Our Islay barley series has always been a mission. Bruichladdich Islay barley 2011 is distilled from barley grown on six western and central Islay farms in 2010.
